Our journey began in 1992, when we pioneered Malaysia’s first global medical partnership programme, opening pathways for students to begin their studies locally and complete them at leading partner medical schools worldwide. From these beginnings, IMU has grown into a globally connected institution, with 49 university partners across Australia, Canada, China, Ireland, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, and the United States.

Today, we have progressed into a premier private health-focused university, one that continues to lead with purpose while evolving to meet the changing needs of the world.

At IMU, we believe health goes beyond treatment. It is about people, communities, and the environments we live in. This belief underpins our ‘One Health’ vision - bringing together human, animal, and environmental health in a unified, future-facing approach.
