The International Medical University (IMU) is Malaysia’s first and most established private medical and health sciences university with over 30 years of dedicated focus in healthcare education. Established in 1992, the University enjoys an international reputation, and provides a high standard of education at pre-university, undergraduate, postgraduate and continuing professional development levels. The University’s postgraduate programmes encompasses critical and in-demand disciplines such as clinical research, biomedical science and public health, conducted via coursework (with dissertation) or solely via research. These programmes aim to broaden the scope and impact of medical practitioner’s and other healthcare professionals’ contributions. Students who meet the requirements will also have the opportunity to apply for bursaries.

Conventional Mode
This mode of learning is conducted at the university campus where students will take part in all teaching and learning activities.

Open and Distance Learning (ODL)
Flexibility is key to Open and Distance Learning. It is a form of education where students are able to fit their studies around their current work and personal commitments. Open and Distance Learning students usually study at a learning environment of their choice while receiving all the support and services from the university, the same as the on-campus students.
