About The Programme
The Bachelor of Nursing (Hons) degree is a part-time programme offered in Open and Distance Learning (ODL) mode, with minimum study duration of 3 ½ years. This ODL programme is specially designed and tailored to the needs of working registered nurses who wish to upgrade their Diploma in Nursing qualification to a Bachelor’s degree for career advancement while still remaining in their workplace.
This programme aims to enhance the graduate practitioner with the necessary knowledge, skills and attitude required of a professional nurse practitioner in playing a variety of roles within various healthcare settings and community.

IMU has designed this part-time ODL programme specifically for the needs of registered nurses like you, where you can further your study, advance your career while still working at your current workplace. The curriculum is designed in such a way that it is based on your prior learning and clinical experiences as a registered nurse. This degree programme will not only extend your clinical knowledge, but it will also improve your personal development and critical thinking skills on how to apply work experiences, extrapolate evidence-based nursing knowledge in responding to various challenges and adapting to constant changes within the healthcare delivery system."
